Philip Chapman

b,1950. Ecologist, photographer and BBC producer, author of Caves and Cave Life (1993). Born in West Africa, graduated at Bristol University. Eleven caving expeditions, mainly to tropics, and the publication of field studies established him as an authority on cave wildlife. Conservation worker with IUCN and WWF. Sometime school teacher, education officer and university researcher, now working for BBC.
