Hi, I have puchased a copy of Man and the Land by Dudley Stamp - the book is signed by him and dedicated to A.R.Manktelow in freindship and admiration to the man behind the land. Can anybody help - who was he ? thanks Phil

A quick google reveals that he (or a A R Manktelow) worked at the Ministry of Agriculture from the 1930's to the 1950's at least...

Thanks Hengus for your help. I always keep my eye out for signed copies - adds a nice touch. Used to buy them direct from collins but there is such price difference compared with just the book from amazon. regards Phil
