Collins now prints just 50 leatherbound editions for each new volume (three per year) in the New Naturalist series. These are signed by the author and numbered. They also come with dustjackets signed by the artist Robert Gillmor. They are available to purchase exclusively from this website, and on pre-order six weeks before their publication date at a reduced price. Typically the publication date for the leatherbound editions is two weeks after the hardback publication date, to allow for hand binding and for gold leaf gilding of the pages and spine. For delivery, the leatherbound editions are wrapped in paper, then in bubble wrap and finally in a hard cardboard container. They are posted from our Glasgow warehouse by signed delivery and will arrive with you typically within three working days. If your order has not arrived within this period please notify us at newnaturalists@harpercollins.co.uk and we will investigate promptly.

Marches appears to have sold out - so perhaps 50 copies is the correct quantity and may be buyers have realised that 50 is not that many!
If Scotland sells out as well I think I shall be asking for a standing order so as not to miss out!

I think 50 copies is sufficient. I am still baffled as to where the Leather NNs fit into NN official canon. Are leather versions of 1-99 going to be made available as well? I can see why speculators could easily think the combination of New Naturalist rarity with leather exclusiveness appear was just too enticing? But I just can't the average NN buff collecting the leathers. I could be proved wrong of course and 50 copies is certainly a low print run. But to me the buckrams are the originals and best.
