As at today (14th July, 2010) there are 1989 members of this New Naturalists Forum. Only 11 more to join and the forum will have 2000 members! Who will be that 2000th member to join?

There have been 500 odd postings on this forum but we have just short of 2000 members!!! If all members would just post a short message we could quadrouple the message count!

Cheers all,

Lee (Cornwall).

And what a sad little place it is with almost all the postings coming from a handful of people which always distorts the feel of the place. Now, if I was setting up a Forum and I was a publishing company, I'd have somebody introducing new subjects for discussion on a regular basis, I'd respond quickly to criticisms (both constructive and otherwise), and I'd generally try and encourage members to get involved by doing things like, I don't know, having competitions, regular 'guests' (that could be questioned) and so on. But maybe that's just me. Its not rocket science is it.

But you do (from the publishers point of view) have to commit to it...even if it is only for 20 mins a day. It has to be an exciting place for people to visit, and then revisit. This place, very sadly, despite the efforts of half a dozen people or so, sadly isn't. I've never known a forum with so many unwilling and inactive members (and more importantly 'owners'). A great pity.

No postings for 8 days!!!!! 1997 members & only 3 more to go until the 2000th member joins! What will they find to look at & will they be tempted to leave a comment?

Look forward to hearing from other members on here.

Collins.........This forum could do with a bit of a spark from you on here! Talk to us please! Any N/N news worthy of putting on the forum from you guys?

Cheers,

Lee Slaughter.

Cheers all,
