| congratulations Collins on getting your new web page and Print On Demand up and running - I wish you every success 2 New Naturalists were printed in photographic jackets - The Broads (46) and Snowdonia National Park (47) Marrens New Naturalists (82) shows Ellis designs for a Broads jacket - would there be any possibility that these 2 volumes might be printed POD with an option of a laminated Ellis jacket (if they exist) so they appear better on the shelf? Stephen

| Hi Stephen thanks for your good wishes. The change of jackets is unlikely but we are investigating, thanks for the suggestion. Alex Collins

| I fully endorse all of the plaudits regarding the publication of Print on Demands, but for those of us with a full set of NN's would it please be possible to purchase just the dustwrappers (for a modest fee!) of those which have faded? I am sure that this particular buying option would prove extremely popular and would not prove to be a costly option for Collins.

| I too would like to purchase dust jackets to replace those faded on some of my existing collection... Can you help us Collins by offering this service in addition to POD? Regards S.

| I have bought a number of repro dust jackets from a reputable dealer and these have proved to be of a very high standard. However, I still think that Collins could make an effort to help us out - after all it is they who are responsible for selling items with an inherent proclivity to fade (and thus a defect!)

| I guess the benefit of getting replacement dust jackets from Collins is there would be no copyright issues etc. As I'm certain the Ellis's and Robert Gillmor still hold the rights for their art work and I expect Collins also hold copyright on these too, rather than those selling the repro jackets.

| I agree too! Please Collins would you make it possible for us enthusiasts to purchase replacement genuine Dustjackets for any which we have that have faded or are damaged on our books? I guess that many, many N/N collectors/readers would take advantage of this & Collins would do pretty well out of it too! It might take the sting out of the crazy prices for that perfect Dustjacket on that 1st edition book that is commanded for the scarcer titles! Thoughts anyone?

| All Collins really need to do is stockpile Print on Demand dustwrappers for book numbers 1 to 98 and charge a sensible price for them. I think most of us have dustwrappers that suffer from fading - I would just love to see my British Thrushes and Birds of Prey in the new PoD/Facsimile dustwrappers. It would also be a great opportunity to sort out several dustwrappers that show distinct signs of too much wear and tear, even though they have long been placed in protective sleeves. Lets hope Collins can do something for us....
