These will be laminated dust jackets, as per the POD series - and state they are print on demand, so as to differentiate them from originals.

So wonderful has been the uptake of our print on demand books, Collins will start the process of digitising the NN Monograph series too.

For print on demand editions of the main series, we have costs now for adding the title to the spine. As feared it adds £10 to the price so we'd be interested in hearing how important you feel it is, versus the cost increase.

For the slipcased leather bound editions we will be reducing the print runs for "Books and Naturalists", "Bird Migration" and "Badger" to 75 copies per title. To make these even more special they will come in a dust jacket signed by the cover artist Robert Gilmoor.

</DIR></DIR>

Art of New Naturalists Leather

We are printing only 50 signed leatherbound editions and have now sold out of our first batch (all preorders are being fullfilled this week). It's not too different but has a little more polish than the old site. It should be much more rewarding and easier to use once you get used to it!

On the forum you will be able to search posts more effectively - by date and topic. You can upload attachments, useful if you want advice on a particular book you own as you can take a picture and upload it here to get accurate feedback. And if you are particularly interested in a forum topic, you can subscribe to it and be told by email whenever a new post has been added. You can also send members private messages and emails, not sure if you really want that, but it was available so we left it in for you. Take a look at the link called Control Panel to explore.

Collins will be able to give you much more information on the series in our features pages and in this forum. For example we can post cover art and POD plate sections here, and give you our publishing schedule in the Calendar. And we will actively be listening to your feedback as ever and doing our best to meet your needs.

Here's to a bright future for the New Naturalists.

Alex
Collins
